Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to support our operations in San Juan, PR. As a Data Entry Clerk at blithequark, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our billing processes, while providing exceptional customer service to our clients and patients. Primary Responsibilities Data entry of billing mnemonics and all required billing information from imaged requisitions, including US postal addresses, medical codes, and insurance carrier details Follow established procedural guidelines to enter information into our systems and respond to patient inquiries in a professional and courteous manner Navigate multiple computer applications, including MS Word, MS Excel, online applications, and mainframe applications, to perform data entry tasks and conduct basic research Utilize templates to create letters and other correspondences, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail Enter received data from Quest Diagnostics into required applications to initiate the billing cycle, and research mail returns to update invoices with current information Investigate denied bills due to errors or discrepancies in patient or insurance information, and resolve issues to facilitate re-billing Requirements and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: At least 1 year of data entry experience, with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail Customer service experience, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills Professional proficiency in both English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, clients, and colleagues Proficiency with computers, Windows PC, and web applications, including the ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer system applications Ability to work 40 hours/week during standard business operating hours, Monday - Friday from 7:00am - 4:30pm, with occasional overtime on weekends and holidays as needed Preferred qualifications include: Medical billing experience, with knowledge of medical or health insurance terminology Proven solid bolthires Excel skills, with the ability to analyze and manipulate data Career Growth and Development Opportunities At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
