As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in leading our Global Data Strategy group and developing innovative solutions to drive business growth and improve customer experiences. **Job Summary** We are seeking an experienced Director of Data Science to lead our Global Data Strategy group and develop innovative solutions to drive business growth and improve customer experiences. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the strategic evaluation of credit metrics, credit provision, and reserve for Senior Management in Risk and Finance. You will also own precise information assets/packages within Risk Finance, develop and maintain preferred and ad-hoc reviews, and provide credit-associated analytical aid to Risk Finance and/or business partners. **Key Responsibilities** As our Director of Data Science – Global Data Strategy Lead, you will be responsible for: * Leading the strategic evaluation of bolthires credit metrics, credit provision, and reserve for Senior Management in Risk and Finance * Owning precise information assets/packages within Risk Finance, and becoming a subject matter expert on the applicable tools (troubleshooting issues, reconciling results, identifying enhancements and automation possibilities, and teaching other customers to drive adoption) * Developing and maintaining preferred and ad-hoc reviews utilized by Risk Finance and/or business partners; providing credit-associated analytical aid * Developing and presenting key analyses and recommendations to Senior Management * Building and maintaining relationships across Risk Finance portfolio groups and with partners in Risk, Controllership, Tech, etc. * Providing selection-aid with a strong emphasis on growing analytics that identify trends and opportunities within the portfolio which can be used to optimize Business and Risk decisions **Required Qualifications** To be successful in this role, you will need: * Advanced experience working with a maximum of the following: SQL/Hive, Power BI/Tableau, Python/R, VBA, TM1 * Experience working with a sophisticated level of Excel and PowerPoint required * Experience in ML modeling is a plus * Solid economic and analytical skills; ability to work with large units of data and draw significant conclusions, empowering our business partners to make smart, data-driven decisions * Superior attention to detail, alongside exemplary organizational and problem-solving skills * Must be results-driven and proactive with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work within tight timelines * Desire to work on ambiguous tasks, growing clarity while achieving successful and significant outcomes * A strong work-ethic and strong interpersonal skills, showcasing the ability to build and maintain relationships and successfully collaborate with team members to achieve goals * Experience working with a sophisticated level of Excel and PowerPoint required * Master's degree in advanced mathematics or statistical discipline required **Considerations for Sponsorship** Depending on factors including business unit requirements, the nature of the position, value, and relevant laws, blithequark may offer visa sponsorship for certain positions. **Compensation and Benefits** We offer a competitive compensation package, including: * Salary range: $55.00 to $85.00 hourly + bonus + equity (if relevant) + benefits * The above represents the anticipated salary range for this activity requisition.
