The Ecosystem and Operational Insights team within CPT is looking for a senior front-end engineer to help us revamp our suite of developer productivity tools. <br> </p><p>This team accelerates the software developer lifecycle at Netflix by building tools and services that improve feedback loops and enable confident code delivery. We work closely with our device labs which span iOS, Android, TV and web platforms, to provide reliable, real-world validation at scale.  <br> </p><p>We are looking for versatile specialists who think beyond implementation details, who can empathize with fellow developers, challenge assumptions, and help shape the "why" behind what we build.  You should bring a strong perspective on product direction and design, not just execution, and be comfortable working at the intersection of user experience, design, and modern web application development.<br> </p><p>You will excel if you are comfortable with the ambiguity that comes with innovation, can deliver scalable technical solutions, remove technical debt, make strategic decisions for long-term effectiveness, and approach problems with a curiosity-driven lens.<br><br><b>What you will do:</b></p><ul><li>Drive new technical solutions across teams, from system design to deployment</li><li>Design, build, and refine intuitive data visualization charts and performant user interfaces, with a focus on simplifying and streamlining the developer experience by leveraging analytical insights</li><li>Revamp and update existing tools and services for integration into developer workflows </li><li>Work with our product manager, design team, and stakeholders across Netflix to gather insights, identify opportunities, and define solutions that will scope and shape our product decisions</li><li>Operate in a cross-functional and dynamic environment where you will collaborate and learn with stunning colleagues from a variety of technical domains and backgrounds to achieve the common goal of entertaining the world</li></ul><p><br><b>What we are looking for:</b></p><ul><li>7+ years of experience in a software development role</li><li>Demonstrable technical expertise to critically evaluate front-end architectures and user experience flows, form well-reasoned recommendations for the best path forward, and navigate ambiguity by iteratively refining solutions based on stakeholder feedback and evolving requirements</li><li>Deep expertise in modern front-end development, with a focus on building scalable, maintainable, and high-quality web applications</li><li>Experience with at least several UI frameworks</li><li>Deep experience with React & GraphQL </li><li>Strong programming skills in JavaScript and TypeScript</li><li>Experience collaborating closely with designers to translate UX/UI designs into delightful user experiences</li><li>Exposure to back-end APIs is a plus</li><li>Ability to learn and leverage in-house software frameworks/components/services to build scalable solutions</li><li>Outstanding communicators who are curious, flexible, and selfless</li></ul><p>   <br>At Netflix, we carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors to determine your personal top of market. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary and will also be dependent on your location. </p><p><br>The overall market range for roles in this area of Netflix is typically $100,000 - $720,000.</p><p><br>This market range is based on total compensation (vs. only base salary), which is in line with our compensation philosophy.
