Marine Operations Coordinator - Port and Tug Services Dubai, UAE Position Overview DP World is hiring a Marine Operations Coordinator for its Dubai-based maritime division to support port control, vessel scheduling, and tug coordination. This role ensures seamless communication between marine traffic units and port stakeholders, playing a critical part in the smooth flow of port logistics and marine services. Job Details Job Location: Dubai, UAE Industry: Transportation and Logistics Function: Transportation / Driving Salary: 5000-7000 monthly (Market estimated) Gender: Any Candidate Nationality: Any Candidate Current Location: Any Job Type: Full Time What You'll Do * Relay marine orders to vessels, boats, pilots, and mooring crews * Coordinate tug and mooring gang movements for efficiency and availability * Maintain active communication with port control and marine support units * Monitor vessel speed and positioning within port limits * Report breakdowns and asset conditions to the technical team in real time * Handle emergency communication and incident reporting as per protocol * Compile daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports for management * Liaise with external parties to ensure operational safety and compliance * Support compliance with HSSEQ procedures, including risk management and permit-to-work systems * Promote safety initiatives such as Stop Work Authority and Safety Observations Ideal Profile * Diploma or degree in Nautical Science, Maritime Studies, or a related field * STCW II/1 Officer of the Watch Certificate of Competency * VHF Radio Communication Certificate (e.g., GMDSS ROC) * Strong grasp of vessel movements, port layouts, and navigation basics * Experience using VTS systems and marine operations platforms * High proficiency in computer systems and communication tools * 2-5 years of experience in marine operations, vessel scheduling, or tug dispatching * Previous exposure to marine support services or terminal operations preferred Why Join Us DP World provides a dynamic environment where maritime innovation and operational excellence intersect.
