Job description

This position is responsible for supporting clinical and operational processes for a Medication Adherence program. Responsibilities include executing interventions by promoting program benefits with Clients Medicare Part D members. The Pharmacy Technician will interact with Clients staff pharmacists, interns, pharmacy students and Medicare Part D members

Pay Rate (Hourly Wage):

  • $21.00

RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS:

  • Monitor toll free call center, handle in-coming member calls, including member opt-outs.
  • Maintain call logs and spreadsheets for membership.
  • Monitor electronic mailbox and respond appropriately
  • Maintain program files.
  • Assist in the research, analysis, identification, and evaluation of data from assigned problems to evaluate existing and potential trends and issues.
  • Assist in monitoring program initiatives, outcomes, and objectives to ensure goal attainment
  • Assist in identifying resolution of challenges and issues in order to fulfill key corporate objectives Assist in development of plans, reports, papers, and creation of other documents
  • Other duties as required.

EDUCATION OR EQUIVALENT EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or GED required. At least two (2) years of college preferred.

Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB) required.

EXPERIENCE:

  • At least five (5) years’ experience in retail or hospital pharmacy preferred.
  • At least two (2) years of call center experience.
  • Knowledge of prescription drug names and therapeutic classes.
  • Experience with Medicare Part D prescription benefits is preferred.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES (SKA) REQUIRED: (Brief bullet points detailing the skills necessary for this position)

  • Strong customer service and phone skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Project management skills preferred.
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to work independently, within a team environment, and communicate effectively with employees and clients at all levels.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy claims processing is preferred.
  • Understanding of formularies and utilization management edits.
  • Ability to work well in a work-from-home environment
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work is performed in a remote setting with no unusual hazards.
