Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic distribution center team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently managing inventory, operating heavy equipment, and supporting overall warehouse operations. This role is vital to ensuring accurate order fulfillment, timely shipping and receiving, and maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment. Prior warehouse experience and familiarity with warehouse management systems are highly valued. The position offers an opportunity to develop skills in materials handling, inventory control, and heavy equipment operation within a fast-paced manufacturing and distribution setting.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inventory management tasks including stock counting, cycle counts, and inventory control using RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Operate heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers in accordance with OSHA safety standards.
  • Load and unload shipments safely using appropriate equipment; assist with shipping & receiving processes.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring proper packaging standards.
  • Support order fulfillment activities including order picking, packing, and materials handling to meet production schedules.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work environment by adhering to safety protocols and mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance.
  • Assist in warehouse stocking, distribution, and overall warehouse management tasks as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth warehouse operations and support warehouse supervisor directives.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a warehouse environment or distribution center is preferred.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems such as AS400 or similar platforms.
  • Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, or pallet jacks is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse operations.
  • Mechanical aptitude or mechanical knowledge related to equipment maintenance is a plus.
  • Experience with order picking & packing, shipping & receiving processes, and using RF scanners enhances candidate suitability.
  • Background in manufacturing or construction environments can be beneficial for understanding heavy lifting and materials handling requirements.
